On 8 February 2013 the team of the EU Life+ Project "Safe Ground for Redbreasts" – staff from the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust and the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds – made the largest ever cannon-net catch of Red-breasted Geese – 93 birds! Club "Mosaic" of Municipal Children’s Club - Shabla also participated in the national BSPB campaign "Grains of love". Together with their leaders and Desislava Parvanova - BSPB education officer in the “Safe Ground for Redbreasts” Project, the children made bird feeders for the town park in Shabla, which they will fill up regularly to help the birds survive the cold winter days. On 19/01/2013, in the Green Education Center of Shabla an exhibition of children's drawings "Pages from the life of the Red-breasted Goose" was opened. 327 children from different schools and painting clubs in Dobrich, Balchik, Kavarna, Tervel, Silistra and in many villages of the districts of Dobrich and Silistra took part in the drawing competition, announced by the BSPB  “Safe ground for Redbreasts” project team.   All submitted drawings are displayed in the exhibition hall of the Green Center, where they will remain until the end of the month, while...
