Durankulak Revisited
13.01.2012

Once again this year Scottish ornithologist and learning expert Brian Morrell from WWT visited the primary school in the village of Durankulak. For the 8th successive year his visit and the greetings from the school children of Caerlaverock were accepted with great joy. Brian Morrell and Dessislava Parvanova – education officer for the BSPB Safe Ground for Redbreasts project – discussed with the children the results of last year’s tagging and tracking of Red-breasted geese and shared their expectations about the research on this emblematic for the region species, done this year.  Then everybody played an entertaining learning game, which the children wanted to repeat again and again. As a good friend and regular presenter at the school, Brian received a touching gift from the school master, Mrs. Margarita Todorova – a book dedicated to the 145th year of the establishing of the school. Brian also features in the photos and text of the book.
