The opening of the exhibition “The Red-breasted Geese flyway - from Siberia to Bulgaria" on October 4 (Saturday) was attended by 30 students from Kavarna. They participated in the workshop for magnetic cards. The event was organized by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) in partnership with the Green Educational Center in Shabla within the fourth edition of the Kite Festival – Shabla and on the occasion of the EuroBirdwatch.

Beautiful photos and intriguing text acquainted visitors with interesting facts about the Goose and the threats that make it one of the most endangered species, along with the tiger and giant panda.

Tha workshop was designed to introduce children to the most prominent representatives of the birds that inhabit the Shabla Lake.

The exhibition can be viewed at Green Educational Center in Shabla until October 30.

The exhibition is organized within the LIFE+ project “Conservation of the wintering population of the globally threatened red-breasted goose in Bulgaria”, funded by the LIFE + Programme of the European Commission.
